TRAVEL,

Weekend at pop beach club: A getaway destination in Lagos

pop beach club

I was recently invited by the blogger’s advocate to spend a weekend and experience the pop lifestyle at the Pop beach club in Ilashe and Tarkwa bay. Although I have been to different private beach houses in ilashe, it was a great opportunity to have a little getaway from all the stress I’ve been going through of recent.

Prior to my visit, I had seen amazing pictures on Instagram about the pop beach and I’ve always wondered what it will be like to visit. It looked like an “I just come back” kind of place. Waking up to the stunning view of the beach in a whitewashed cabana, falling asleep under the moonlight, to the sound of the Atlantic Ocean. Close enough to everything, this was the perfect place to get away and relax for a couple of days.

If you are looking for a time to get away from all the hustle, bustle, traffic and heat of Lagos, then this is a perfect solution for you. I’ll break down every aspect of my stay so you can decide if Pop beach club is right for you.

Its unique features are:

  •  Aesthetic; beautiful artwork with a pop of colours.

Everybody loved the colour scheme and Unlike the normal conventional beach houses in Lagos state, pop beach club gives a completely different kind of vibe. It speaks art, culture and fun.

My Overall Experience and tips

it was hard to think of any negatives experience I had at the pop beach house but I enjoyed my stay at Tarkwa bay more than Ilashe. My experience was overwhelmingly positive and ill love to return very soon. I got to sleep in a cabana for the first time. My stay was definitely relaxed and memorable. At Ilashe, we had a tour to other beach houses in the surrounding. The morning hike was strenuous but the view was worth it. we were lucky to see the fishermen trying to pull out their net from the sea. I’ve never seen anything like that. The spirit of teamwork, I saw how the young, old and strong joined hands together trying to achieve a common goal and I couldn’t be more inspired. Ilashe is a fisherman’s community as the majority of them get their livelihood from fishing.

When travelling with unknown people, it doesn’t matter how nice the accommodation is, if your accomplices aren’t welcoming or friendly, your stay will be ruined.

The pop beach club is a type of place you go to with people you can easily bond with. It’s important to be on the same vibe and level with those you are going to the facility with. Luckily for me, I was able to enjoy my stay more because I went with amazing bloggers with like minds and we were able to bond well and gist.

The hospitality was incredible. The cook made amazing continental dishes, although we had to bring all our drinks and raw food ingredients. Food and drinks can also be provided for you on request but it’s advisable to bring so you hungry can be satisfied

This review and pictures are so rich, I would always come back to it when I make up my mind to visit the Pop Beach Club.

But with the membership thing, does it mean outsiders can’t just visit except they subscribe?
